Tina Willis Memorial
The Tina Willis Memorial Scholarship was established in 2021 and is the result of donations given to the Chahta Foundation in memory of Tina Willis, a Choctaw Tribal member who loved her culture and serving the Choctaw people especially Choctaw Youth. This competitive scholarship is to be awarded to Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma students who are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in either social work or criminal justice-related fields and who are residents of the 10.5 counties of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. The Tina Willis Memorial Scholarship is a $500 scholarship awarded at $250 per Fall and Spring semester while the recipient is attending an accredited institution. The scholarship will be paid directly to the accredited institution and covers qualified education expenses such as tuition, fees, and course-related expenses such as books, supplies, and equipment should the recipient meet the following requirements.
