Shane Sparks Legacy
The Shane Sparks Legacy Scholarship was established in 2025 and is the result of donations given to the Chahta Foundation by the Sparks Family in memory of Shane Sparks, who has left a lasting legacy in his passion for the Rodeo industry, FFA community, and the Forestry field. This competitive scholarship is to be awarded to Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma students who are graduating high school at the time of application and are pursuing an undergraduate degree or a vocational / trade certification in agriculture or forestry-related fields. The Shane Sparks Legacy Scholarship is a $500 scholarship awarded at $250 per Fall and Spring semester while the recipient is attending an accredited vocational / trade school, 2-year program, or 4-year program institution. The scholarship will be paid directly to the accredited institution and covers qualified education expenses such as tuition, fees, and course-related expenses such as books, supplies, and equipment should the recipient meet the following requirements.
