Marjorie F. Watson Reed
The Marjorie F. Watson Reed Scholarship was established in 2022 and is the result of donations given to the Chahta Foundation in memory of Marjorie F. Watson Reed, a Choctaw Tribal Member who wanted to give to the Choctaw Nation as a way to ensure the success of its people through its youth. This competitive scholarship is to be awarded to Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma students who have been accepted or are currently enrolled in the vocational or technical program, associate degree, bachelor’s degree, or master’s degree program of their choice. The Marjorie F. Watson Reed Scholarship is a $4,000 scholarship awarded at $2,000 per Fall and Spring semester while the recipient is attending an accredited vocational/technical, 2-year program, or 4-year program institution. The scholarship will be paid directly to the accredited institution and covers qualified education expenses such as tuition, fees, and course-related expenses such as books, supplies, and equipment should the recipient meet the following requirements.
