Lina Dunn Chastain

The Lina Dunn Chastain Scholarship was established in 2019 and is the result of donations given to the Chahta Foundation by James and Christine Chastain in honor of Lina Dunn Chastain. This competitive scholarship is to be awarded to Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma students. The Lina Dunn Chastain Scholarship is a $3,000 scholarship awarded at $1,500 per Fall and Spring semester while the recipient is attending an accredited institution the fall semester after the application is submitted. Preference is given to students enrolled in vocational/technical institutions or community colleges. The scholarship will be paid directly to the accredited institution and covers qualified education expenses such as tuition, fees, and course-related expenses such as books, supplies, and equipment should the recipient meet the following requirements.
