Joe Taylor Trades
The Joe Taylor Trades Scholarship was established in 2024 and is the result of donations given to the Chahta Foundation in honor of Joe Taylor who has dedicated his life to mastering the craftsmanship of bricklaying and masonry. The Joe Taylor Trades Scholarship aims to support aspiring individuals in pursuing careers within the skilled trades. This competitive scholarship is to be awarded to Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma students who have been accepted into or are currently enrolled at the vocational or technical school of their choice. The Joe Taylor Trades Scholarship is a $2,500 scholarship renewable annually for up to two years provided the recipient meets scholarship requirements. This scholarship is awarded at $1,250 per Fall and Spring semester while the recipient is attending an accredited vocational or technical institution.
