Isham Pushmataha Nelson Jr.

The Isham Pushmataha Nelson Jr. Scholarship was established in 2020 and is the result of donations given to the Chahta Foundation by Toni Nelson Olsen and Ivor Olsen. This scholarship was created in honor of Isham Pushmataha Nelson Jr., Toni Nelson’s father. This competitive scholarship is to be awarded to Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma students who are pursuing degrees in one the following areas: bachelors-level Registered Nursing (RN) degrees, Doctor of Dentistry (DDO), or Doctor of Medicine (MD). The Isham Pushmataha Nelson Jr. Scholarship is a $2,000 scholarship awarded at $1,000 per Fall and Spring semester while the recipient is attending an accredited institution. Full eligibility requirements can be found in the guidelines.
