Awashoha

The Awashoha, meaning a place where one plays like a stage or theatre, Scholarship was established in 2023 and is the result of donations given to the Chahta Foundation. This competitive scholarship is to be awarded to Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma students who have been accepted into or are currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate degree programs in the performance arts field. The Awashoha Scholarship is a $2,000 scholarship awarded at $1,000 per Fall and Spring semester while the recipient is attending an accredited institution.
