Scholarship Program History

The Chahta Foundation began the scholarship program with a budget of $6,000, which funded one competitive scholarship in Year 1. Four years later, bolstered by the contributions of generous donors, the scholarship program awarded over $300,000 in scholarships to 43 students, ranging from college freshmen to post-graduate/doctoral students.

We are seeking donors who would like to empower Choctaws to make a lasting impact on themselves, their families, and their communities through education.  No donation is too small! If you would like to contribute to a scholarship, please contact scholarship@chahtafoundation.
