Okhish

The Okhish Scholarship was established in 2026 and is the result of donations given to the Chahta Foundation. This competitive scholarship is to be awarded to Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma students who are accepted into or currently enrolled in an accredited program directly leading to licensure as a Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Doctor of Optometry (OD), Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), or Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD). The Okhish Scholarship is a $2,000 scholarship awarded at $1,000 per Fall and Spring semester while the recipient is attending an accredited institution. The scholarship will be paid directly to the accredited institution and covers qualified education expenses such as tuition, fees, and course-related expenses such as books, supplies, and equipment should the recipient meet the following requirements.
