Oti

The Oti, meaning to light a fire, Scholarship was established in 2026 and is the result of donations given to the Chahta Foundation. This competitive scholarship is to be awarded to Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma students who are graduating high school at the time of application and have been accepted into or are currently enrolled in the bachelor’s degree program of their choice. The Oti Scholarship is a $10,000 scholarship renewable annually for up to four years provided the recipient meets scholarship requirements. This scholarship is awarded at $5,000 per Fall and Spring semester while the recipient is attending an accredited 4-year program institution. The scholarship will be paid directly to the accredited institution and covers qualified education expenses such as tuition, fees, and course-related expenses such as books, supplies, and equipment should the recipient meet the following requirements.
