Yakni Apesvchi
The Yakni Apesvchi Scholarship was established in 2025 and is the result of donations given to Choctaw Nation’s Wildlife Conservation department and the Chahta Foundation. This competitive scholarship is to be awarded to Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma students who have been accepted into or are currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in the fields of conservation, ecology, forestry, natural resource management, or fisheries & wildlife science. The Yakni Apesvchi Scholarship is a $2,000 scholarship awarded at $1,000 per Fall and Spring semester while the recipient is attending an accredited institution. Applicant requirements
- 2.5 GPA
- Undergraduate or graduate degree enrolled in the following programs:
- Conservation
- Ecology
- Forestry
- Natural Resource Management
- Fisheries and Wildlife Science
