Luke Horton Memorial

The Luke Horton Memorial Scholarship was established in 2024 and is the result of donations given to the Chahta Foundation in memory of Luke Horton, whose resilience and courage in the face of adversity and joyful personality brought light and inspiration to all who knew him. His radiant smile and unwavering love for his family were at the heart of his remarkable spirit. This competitive scholarship is to be awarded to Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma students who have been accepted into or are currently enrolled in the vocational, undergraduate, or graduate degree program of their choice. The Luke Horton Memorial Scholarship is a $2,500 scholarship renewable annually for up to eight semesters, provided the recipient meets scholarship requirements.
