Marathon Petroleum Vocational Scholarship Program

The Marathon Petroleum Vocational Scholarship Program was established in 2023 and is the result of donations given to the Chahta Foundation by Marathon Petroleum. This competitive scholarship is to be awarded to Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma (CNO) students. The Marathon Petroleum Vocational Scholarship Program is a scholarship valued up to $10,000 awarded at $1,500 per Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters while the recipient is attending OSUIT and enrolled in one of the following programs: Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology, Construction Technology-Electrical Construction, Construction Technology-Construction Management, Engineering Technologies, Electrical/Electronics Technologies, and Pipeline Integrity Technology.

Scholarship Payout will be executed as:

The scholarship value is up to $10,000 distributed as follows:

1. $1,500 will be awarded each semester for up to six semesters.
   • An additional $1,000 will be awarded during the required internship semester to students who are completing their internship at an approved organization.
2. OR $2,000 will be awarded to recipients who are entering their capstone/final semester the fall semester after the application is submitted.
