The Power to Act Scholarship was established in 2020 and is the result of donations given to the Chahta Foundation. This competitive scholarship is to be awarded to Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma students who have been accepted into or are currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in the fields of counseling or social work. The Power to Act Scholarship is a $2,000 scholarship awarded at $1,000 per Fall and Spring semester while the recipient is attending an accredited institution. The scholarship will be paid directly to the accredited institution and covers qualified education expenses such as tuition, fees, and course-related expenses such as books, supplies, and equipment should the recipient meet the following requirements.
