The Wilene D. Marshall Scholarship was established in 2016 and is the result of donations given to the Chahta Foundation by Jon A. Marshall. This scholarship was created in honor of Mr. Marshall’s mother, Wilene D. Marshall, who worked as a Registered Nurse (RN) at the Talihina Indian Hospital from February 1948 to December 1950. This competitive scholarship is to be awarded to Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma (CNO) students who are pursuing RN degrees, have completed at least 48 college credit hours, and have been accepted into a nursing program. The Wilene D. Marshall Scholarship is a $20,000 scholarship awarded at $10,000 per Fall and Spring semester while the recipient is attending an accredited institution.

*The recipient will have a payback requirement equivalent to one year of service, employment at the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, per $20,000 received. Relocation may be required.
