Nan Aiahni

The Nan Aiahni, standing for dream (or wish) in Choctaw, Scholarship was established in 2015 and is the result of donations given to the Chahta Foundation by the Choctaw Nation Career Development Program. Each year this scholarship is to be awarded to a selected number of graduating high school Choctaw seniors of the 10.5 counties of the Choctaw Nation. The value of the 2016 Nan Aiahni Scholarship is $2,000 to be awarded as up to $1,000 per semester for up to 2 semesters.

Tribal Policy Internship

The goal of the Tribal Policy Internship Program and Scholarship is to provide a paid internship to a Choctaw Student pursuing a degree in political science, public policy, communications, economics, or a related field. The intern will work closely with staff in the Tribal Policy Department of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. The position will be located in Durant, OK for a nine week period during the summer of 2016.
