The Kaneubbe Scholarship was established in 2015 and is the result of donations given to the Chahta Foundation by Robyn Killingsworth in the memory of her mother Glenna Sue Leighton. This competitive scholarship is to be awarded to Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma (CNO) students who have been accepted or are currently attending the masters or doctorate programs of their choice. The Kaneubbe Scholarship is a $5,000 scholarship awarded at $2,500 per semester of the scholarship recipient’s first two semesters attending an accredited institution.

The Kaneubbe Scholarship contains a service payment requirement. Options for the service payback will be discussed and accepted by the recipient and supporting organization prior to the recipient’s acceptance of the scholarship.
